Thermal efficiency
BENO-THERM offers the best thermal resistance per unit of thickness of any other traditional insulating fiber on the market, namely an R value of 3.8/in. at a density of 1.6 lb/ft 3 on open surfaces. In addition to providing superior quality insulation, BENO-THERM reduces air leakage. Its tiny fibers make it the obvious choice for low-pressure injection inside walls and attics.
Fire resistance
In recent years, BENO-THERM has been used in many mega projects not only for its heat-insulating and soundproofing characteristics, but also for its fire resistance. Indeed, BENO-THERM complies with the CAN/ULC-S703 Canadian standard (which replaces CAN/ONCG 51.60). Laboratory test results have demonstrated its exceptional flame resistance, as well as its non-irritating qualities.
Unique composition
The boric elements contained in BENO-THERM make it a unique insulant capable of preventing parasitic and vermin infestation; that is why it is widely used in agricultural buildings. Moreover, its controlled pH levels make it ideally suited to steel structured buildings where the use of corrosive materials must be avoided.
Versatility
Made of small-sized particles and sprayed into place, BENO-THERM fills every nook and cranny to form a uniform, seam-free mat. Injected in walls at at density of 3 lb/ft 3 (according to the BENO-MAT method), it does not settle as years go by and improves walls' air tightness by reducing air leakage.

Economies of scale
BENO-THERM is manufactured using the latest recycling techniques, so it is an economical alternative. Treat yourself to affordable indoor comfort: warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and always soundproof.
Tests and standards
To comply with the CAN/ULC-S703 standard, BENO-THERM was subjected to every applicable test with regard to its insulation and flame resistant characteristics. These tests were run by the Canadian Institute for Research in Construction, and Beno-therm met or exceeded the standards every time.
Acoustic characteristics
BENO-THERM possesses proven superior soundproofing qualities. The particles are injected at 3.0 lb density per cubic foot in dividing walls and at 2.5 lb in ceilings/floors, either directly though 2-inch holes pierced into the existing gypsum or through a BENO-MAT mesh membrane stapled to the wall frame before the final installation of plasterboards
Tests and results
Based on laboratory (CNB and IRC) and field (walls and floors of various types) tests conducted over the years, BENO-THERM has consistently delivered performances exceeding that of other known fibers with respect to its soundproofing qualities and capacity to fill cavities; it has also proven safer for installers.
